Dr. Ramon Varela, senior associate of Morgan & Morgan, had an outstanding participation in CADE 2010, “Challenging Trends”. With his presentation, “Progress of Panama before the OECD, black lists and tax havens”, Dr. Varela vigorously defended Panama’s service and business center: “this organization has no legitimacy or jurisdiction such as the United Nations has, it is rather a group of countries that meet to protect their interest”, he pointed out. With a forceful speech filled of proven facts, Dr. Varela echoed the words of Dr. Eduardo Morgan, Jr. in defending Panama’s sovereignty.
