Ms. Mercedes Arauz de Grimaldo, partner of Morgan & Morgan, was recently distinguished by the National Bar Association with the Justo Arosemena medal. This recognition is the highest honor conferred on leading professionals in the legal industry after 20 years of practice, for their outstanding commitment and contributions to strengthening the profession and defending lawyer’s legitimate interests. The medal was granted during the 2011-2013 Board of Directors inauguration act held at the Sheraton Hotel.
Ms. Arauz de Grimaldo, a leader in labor and immigration matters with Morgan & Morgan, has had not only an exceptional career in the private sector, but has also served the country several times in different offices namely as First Deputy of the Nation’s General Attorney (1994-2004); President of the National Bar Association (2005-2007); and President of the Inter-American Bar Association (2004-2005), among others.
