Enrique de Alba is a senior partner at the maritime unit of Morgan & Morgan and is in charge of the ship finance & registration department.

He has been a partner at Morgan & Morgan since 1990. Mr De Alba has more than 20 years experience in all types of domestic and international maritime matters including: drafts of memorandum of agreements; purchase & sales agreements; bareboat charter agreements; documents of naval mortgages and related finance documents. During his early practice he actively participated in a number of admiralty litigation cases before the Maritime Court of the Republic of Panama.

Mr De Alba is one of the leading partners that contributed to the development of the M&M maritime practice which today accounts for 40% of the total Panamanian registered tonnage fleet of 194,492,694.93 and 32% of the shipping finance transactions, where the Panamanian Jurisdiction is used within the multilateral ship finance schemes carried out in the year 2008.

International clients include notable ship owners, charterers, and leading bank institutions responsible for finance transactions of vessels involving several billions of dollars.

Mr De Alba has published Maritime Codes-1: Panama, Lloyd's of London Press, 1987; Ship Registries-1: Panama, Lloyd's of London Press Ltd, 1987; Panama - The Ship Mortgage, Fairplay Publications, 1992; and Panama Maritime Labor Code, Fairplay Publications, 2000.
