During the 1990’s, Panama’s state-owned energy and telecommunications companies were privatized. The resulting restructuring of both sectors gave way to important public and private international financing transactions. As a result, our attorneys have acquired considerable experience in the various aspects of these operations, including the adaptation of international legal structures to local laws and regulations, drafting power purchase agreements, and preparing a wide spectrum of other agreements for the creation of complex security and collateral structures. |
